Orientation and Pre-Service Training
Those interested in foster care or adoption will begin by completing an orientation and pre-service training class. The pre-service training class is designed for both foster and adoptive parents and allows participants to determine what type of child(ren) will best suit their family.

Orientations are held each month for prospective foster and adoptive parents to further describe the services offered by Community Connections. Super Saturday Trainings
Community Connections offers Saturday Trainings throughout the year. The free trainings are open to Foster and Adoptive parents from all agencies.

Directions to Training: All training sessions are held at Mountain Park United Methodist Church, 1405 Rockbridge Road (at Five Forks Trickum Road), Stone Mountain, GA 30087.

• Take I-285 to Highway 78 East (Stone Mountain Freeway).
• Exit at West Park Place,
• Turn left onto West Park Place
• Take the first left onto Rockbridge Road (at the Wendy’s).
• Follow Rockbridge Road about a mile, and the church is on the left just before reaching Five Forks Trickum Road.
