Mykal Fraser, interim Executive Director
Mykal Fraser is a transformational executive with more than 20 years of experience leading organizational change, operational excellence, communications, and strategic initiatives across healthcare, consulting, and nonprofit organizations. She is recognized for helping organizations navigate complex transitions, strengthen operations, and build high-performing teams.
In 2026, Mykal was asked to return to Community Connections as Interim Executive Director to lead the organization through a critical period of transition. She stabilized operations, implemented an organizational restructuring, strengthened governance, and led the recruitment of key leadership positions, including the Executive Director, Finance Director, and operational management team. Her leadership established a strong operational foundation and positioned the agency for long-term success.
Previously, Mykal served six years on the Community Connections Board of Directors, including three years as Board Chair, helping shape the organization's strategic direction and governance.

Kimberly brown, Director of Foster Homes and Programs
Kimberly joined Community Connections in 2025 as the Director of Foster Homes and Programs. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology/Minor in Sociology from the University of West Georgia and a Master’s Degree in Psychology from Grand Canyon University. She previously held leadership positions at Community Connections and the Georgia Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS). With over 19 years of Child Welfare experience, Kimberly is committed to empowering foster parents and ensuring they receive the proper training, support, and resources needed to provide safe and nurturing homes for children and youth in care.

LESLIE MATHEWS, Manager of Foster Homes & INTAKEs
Leslie joined Community Connections in 2015 as the Intake Coordinator. She previously held positions with various health care providers. Leslie has a Bachelor of Science in Health Science and a Master of Public Administration in Health Services, both from Columbus State University.

Yanique Brown, Manager of Placement Services
Yanique Brown joined Community Connections in 2026 as the Manager of Placement Services. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice and a Master of Public Administration from Metropolitan College of New York. With more than 15 years of experience serving children and families, Yanique has built her career around strengthening child welfare systems, supporting foster families, and improving outcomes for vulnerable youth. She is passionate about creating meaningful partnerships, developing effective teams, and ensuring every child has the opportunity to thrive in a safe, supportive home. At Community Connections, Yanique leads placement services with a commitment to excellence, collaboration, and compassionate care.

Kamaria baysmore, FAMILY CONSULTANT SUPERVISOR
Kamaria joined Community Connections in 2020 as a Family Consultant. In 2022, Kamaria was promoted to Family Consultant Supervisor. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Kean University and a Masters of Arts Degree in Social Work from Georgia State University. She is a Licensed Master Social Worker.

Courtney McCrary, FAMILY CONSULTANT SUPERVISOR
Courtney joined Community Connections in 2017 as a Family Consultant. In 2024, Courtney was promoted to Lead Family Consultant, and in 2025, she became a Family Consultant Supervisor. She previously held a child welfare position with DeKalb County DFCS. Courtney holds a Bachelor of Social Work from Savannah State University and a Master of Social Work from Walden University. She is a Licensed Master Social Worker.

Tatiana turk, Intake CoordinAtor
Tatiana joined Community Connections in 2024 as a Family Consultant. She has a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies from Georgia State University. She has experience as a Paraprofessional with children in special education classes and as a Registered Behavior Therapist.

ANDREA HICKS, RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST
Andrea joined Community Connections in 2020 as the Resource Development Specialist. She previously held various positions in Resource Development with the Georgia Division of Family and Children Services for over 30 years and most recently served as a mentor to supervisors. Andrea has a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Armstrong State College.

Colleen holtz, program coordinator
Colleen joined Community Connections in 2021 and now serves as the Program Coordinator. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Human Services from Wesleyan College and a Master of Divinity from Mercer School of Theology. Colleen is also an ordained minister.

Alexis Mcnair grier, family consultant
Alexis joined Community Connections in 2024 as a Family Consultant. She holds a Bachelor of Social Work from Georgia State University. Alexis has experience in nonprofit advocacy work and in customer service.

Titanya peoples, family consultant
Titanya joined Community Connections in 2024 as a Family Consultant. She holds a Bachelor of Social Work and a Master of Social Work from Georgia State University. Titanya previously worked in various social work roles, including as a Family Support Coach in Metro Atlanta.

Morgan Pittman, family consultant
Morgan joined Community Connections in 2025 as a Family Consultant. She has a Bachelor of Social Work from Georgia State University, where she graduated Cum Laude. She has experience working at The Ansley School, where she demonstrated her ability to work effectively with children, families, and staff from diverse backgrounds.

mia hodges, family Consultant
Mia joined Community Connections in 2026 as a Family Consultant. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Child and Adolescent Psychology and Human Services. Previously, she worked as an elementary school teacher for Fulton County Schools and as a Child Protective Services investigator with Georgia Division of Family & Children Services.

Zaynah Elliott, family Consultant
Zaynah joined Community Connections in May 2026 as a Family Consultant. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Health and Community Wellness from University of West Georgia and a Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Capella University. For the past four years, Zaynah has worked as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and has additional experience as a paraprofessional supporting students in special education classrooms.
